The center provides medication-assisted treatment as well as group and individual therapy services.

Staff includes a nurse practitioner and two licensed clinical social workers. The renovated space includes two group therapy rooms and two individual counseling offices.

“When Southington completed its community health needs assessment, mental health and substance use were identified as key priorities,” said Jessica Collins, BSN-BC, LPC, Director of Behavioral Health Services for The Hospital of Central Connecticut and MidState Medical Center.

“Residents expressed a need for local services. This center allows people to receive comprehensive outpatient care close to home,” said Pat Rehmer, president of the Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network .

Startup and renovation costs were partially funded by a grant from the Bradley Henry Barnes and Leila Upson Barnes Memorial Trust through the Main Street Community Foundation. The building also houses a Hartford HealthCare Headache Center.
